Hog Roast

We added the Hog Roast to our repertoire 3 years ago now and it has been a sizzling success! Whether your occasion is in the summer or the winter it is an ideal way to celebrate!

We use Glouster Old Spot Pigs, hand reared by Tim Lear, of Pembury Porkers. He selects the pig for you and brings it up to us here at the Black Horse all ready to go in our roasting machine. Depending on the side on your party, it can take anything from 5 hours to 12 hours to cook, filling our garden with succulent aromas.

Not just served in a bap! When ready we carve before your eyes and serve with all the trimmings- honey and pepper chipolatas, Bacon and Sage Stuffing, roast potatoes and chips! A selection of mixed salads, freshly baked bread and lashings of apple sauce!
